Overview

The Navik mountain is a unique ski resort year around. The resort is surrounded by massive mountains and deep fjords. At the foot of the mountain, you´ll find the city of Narvik, and the location makes this resort the most urban ski resort in Norway! When you ski down the mountain it feels like you´re on your way straight in to the city and the fjord.

This is one of Norway´s coolest ski resort and the main activity is of course to ski. The Narvik Mountain ski resort is a resort for everyone. Families and beginners can enjoy the children’s lift and several customed pistes containing jumps, children’s games, and park elements. For the active and experienced skier there are technical advanced pists that offer a healthy dose of adrenaline.

In addition, the Narvik Mountain ski resort has one of Scandinavia´s highest ski drop heights and very good conditions for off-piste skiing. As a visitor you can enjoy large areas of slopes and world class off-piste skiing!

The lift starts in the middle of Narvik about 200 meters above sea level, and the lifts take you up to 1006 meters in 10 minutes. The spectacular view from the top of the mountain is unique, as the slopes continue all the way down to the fjord. The Narvik Mountain ski resort has its own gondola lift that travels parallel with the three bottom ski lifts. It takes you to the upper Ski lift station 656 meters above sea level. The ski lift can carry you onwards to the top of the resort at 1006 meters above sea level. If you want, you can hike 300 meters further up to the cool off-piste skiing starting point!

The gondola lift was Northern Europe´s first when it opened in 1957. The Narvik Mountain ski resort has a new gondola lift opened in 2019. It´s part of a great investment in the ski resort and will lead to many new activities year around.

Norway has applied for the alpine world ski championship in 2027, and the Narvik Mountain ski resort is planned to be a central location for the games.
